It can output eight types of CV with different phases and speeds based on the input CV or the built-in LFO.
MultiMod is a new approach to generating many control signals from one control signal.
Modular synthesizers can produce unique and interesting results by using many control sources and complex signal branching. This is a great advantage of modular synthesis, but it can be time-consuming to set up and difficult to control as the user intends. MultiMod brings a new approach to control signal generation. By weighting the relative phase and speed of the input control signal, you can obtain eight different control signals related to the input signal. This is a new idea of signal generation and duplication that is completely different from simple multiples.
The PHASE parameter weights the phase of the control signal for each channel. Each time the channel advances, it becomes out of phase with the original signal and each other. The SPREAD parameter can be set to vary the speed of the duplicated signals, each one gradually becoming faster or slower than the original. The TIME parameter determines the time range over which the input signal is captured, and also the strength of the modulation effect of the PHASE and SPREAD parameters.
It also features a TEMPO input that can be synced to an external clock, a HOLD function that holds the current output voltage, a RESET function that returns all channels to a synchronized state, and a READ SHAPE function that changes the reading pattern of the input signal and reconfigures it in time.
If no signal input is patched, MultiMod generates eight replicated LFO waveforms. All parameters can be manipulated in the same way.
MultiMod is built with state-of-the-art DSP hardware that provides eight high-resolution outputs, with a signal input and output range approaching the upper limit of analog Eurorack modular systems. All inputs and outputs support a range of +/-10V, 20Vpp, far exceeding the voltage range of typical digital modules, which is 0-5V.
