The 32Classic MS is a high-performance, all-analog channel strip that brings the signature Harrison sound and processing tools of the flagship 32Classic recording console to your studio. Adding hybrid workflow capabilities and a built-in stereo mix bus for summing multiple units, the 32Classic MS delivers legendary sound while adding unique and innovative features to enhance your workflow.
Boasting the same design as the 32Classic console, the 32Classic MS features a premium Jensen JT-MB-CPCA transformer-coupled mic preamp, signature Harrison LP/HP filter with 3dB resonant peak, and ultra-smooth 4-band parametric EQ. The original 3232 console was used by artists such as Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac, and Led Zeppelin to create some of the most acclaimed and timeless music ever created. Now, that unmistakable sound is available for the first time in 19-inch rack format. Bring recording legends into your studio with 32Classic MS.
■Comprehensive input section
The 32Classic MS features a versatile input section with dedicated mic and line XLR inputs on the rear panel. For added convenience, the front panel also features inputs with selectable instrument/Hi-Z and microphone options. The microphone input is equipped with essential utilities such as 48V phantom power, -20dB pad, phase flip, and 3-color LED meter. Both the mic and line inputs have independent gain controls, ensuring precise adjustment and superior performance on both inputs. Whether you're recording, producing, or mixing, the 32Classic MS provides the connectivity you need to maximize your sessions.
■Harrison mic pre - the sound of legends
A defining feature of classic Harrison recording is a high-performance transformer-coupled mic preamp. True to that tradition, the 32Classic MS mic preamp delivers 70dB of clean gain for the warm, rich tone that Harrison is famous for. Thanks to the Jensen JT-MB-CPCA transformer, you can expect full low end, open midrange, and ultra-smooth natural highs. The gradual roll-off and subtle phase shift at both ends of the frequency spectrum creates a surprisingly sweet and musical sound, making it ideal for virtually any source material.
■Characterful LP/HP Filters
As featured in the original 3232 and the latest 32Classic consoles, the 32Classic MS's low-pass and high-pass filters provide a musical 12dB/octave slope. The high pass filter ranges from 25 Hz to 3.1 kHz and has a distinctive 3 dB resonant peak. The low pass filter ranges from 160 Hz to 20 kHz and is ideal for removing rumbling sounds and smoothing high frequencies. The true Harrison magic begins when used in conjunction with the EQ section to tighten up the low end and 'bloom' the top end.
■32Classic EQ
The 32Classic MS brings the 32Classic console's iconic 4-band parametric EQ to a 19-inch rack format for the first time. Its frequency range and proportional Q design have been painstakingly developed to provide both a wide range of musical curves and precise sculpting to bring out the best from any source material or recording scenario. Trusted by legendary engineers like Bruce Swedien and Roger Nichols for its power, it's also used for its flexibility at prestigious studios like The Village and Westlake Studios in Los Angeles, and LSI Studios in Nashville.
■Integrated mixbus and hybrid workflow features
The 32Classic MS's built-in mix bus allows you to build your Harrison recording/mixing system one channel at a time. Designed to enhance your workflow and improve your recording and mixing capabilities, the mix bus allows you to cascade the outputs of multiple units via a rear panel ""summing"" connector and jumper cables. You can use the fader controls to balance the signal and pan the stereo output. You can also use 0 dB fader bypass to record at unity gain. Ideal for hybrid workflows, mobile rigs, and tracking rooms, the 32Classic MS's built-in mix bus delivers Harrison's iconic tone with unparalleled flexibility.
■Insert point
The 32Classic MS unit has a balanced insert point (located after the mic pre, pre-filter) for inserting other processing equipment, such as a compressor, into the unit's signal path.
■Channel Outputs
The 32Classic MS features convenient pre/post-fader direct outputs for better control when feeding recording devices.
■32Classic MS sidecar
Enhance your mixing and tracking workflows by combining multiple 32Classic MS channels and using them as a ""sidecar"" to your existing setup. Perfect for drum and instrument busses, it adds the iconic Harrison sound to your sonic palette, providing warmth, depth, and flexibility for any recording or mixing application.
