Bruxa is a collaboration between Make Noise and Alessandro Cortini.
Overview
Bruxa is a sonic alchemy module. See what happens when you dump sound into a time vortex, filter it, and attenuate it.
Bruxa is the result of a collaboration between Make Noise and Alessandro Cortini. Known for his work with Nine Inch Nails and playing modular synthesizers, Bruxa is inspired by Cortini's music and his sonic experiments, and embodies the alchemy of the visible and the invisible, the real and the illusory, and the sonic.
It is an evolution of the original prototype circuit created by Make Noise founders Tony Rolando and Alessandro Cortini and ultimately implemented in the "Time/Filter" section of Strega. It is a multi-tap delay with dozens of unique feedback paths and multiple filters that accumulate noise, saturate, and degrade the signal.
While Strega is a complete tabletop synthesizer, Bruxa is designed to be used in combination with Eurorack modular synths. You'll find many differences in layout, signal flow, and tone. Bruxa is built into a Eurorack modular system and can patch sounds and modulation sources from external modules, resulting in surprisingly different results from Strega.
Bruxa is a limited edition product that requires pre-orders. Orders will be shipped to stores from October 2024.
