ReSynthesizer is the culmination of Make Noise module design over the past eight years.

Product Overview
The origins of the ReSynthesizer date back to the spring of 2023. It began when Walker and Rodent built a modular system to introduce and demonstrate the Soundhack Spectraphon at Superbooth 23’. It needed to be a system that could show off the true value of Spectraphon. So this special system layout was constructed as a culmination of Make Noise’s modular designs over the past eight years.

After Superbooth, Walker and Peter used a similar system configuration to shoot videos for Make Noise’s Youtube and Instagram channels, which led to speculation that this was a new 7U system. Although there were no plans to release a new system at the time, the layout was versatile and they continued to use it for video shoots. (This layout even came to be called “System X” after discussions with Cinematic Laboratory and others.) We initially envisioned a very specific use case, such as placing Morphagene next to Spectraphon, but it soon became natural. Spectraphon and Morphagene work together to "re-synthesize" raw material into epic soundscapes or microsound manipulations, or wherever the road takes you.

In early 2024, Make Noise announced DXG, which allows for easy mixdown of mono or stereo signals, and PrssPnt, which adds a sense of physical touch. Putting these in their place, Resynthsizer was born. Combining Spectraphon, Morphagene, and the Make Noise CV Generation Suite in a powerful and highly portable 4 Zone CV Bus Case, Resynthesizer is an open-design blackboard for experimentation and discovery.
