The next evolution of the Super series
At the core of the Super 8 are two independent binaural analog hybrid signal chains using UDO's unique and proven synthesizer technology. With up to 16 voices of polyphony and two unique sounds, each with its own independent effects chain, this instrument is a reimagining of analog synthesis. Like its sibling, the Super Gemini, you can split, dual, and sequence voices and sound layers.

Equipped with ultra-high-precision FPGA digital oscillators, the Super 8 features a wide range of sonic capabilities inspired by traditional analog polysynths, including wave morphing, cross and ring modulation, bidirectional oscillator sync, and an all-analog signal path to the output. With a 61-note semi-weighted keyboard with polyphonic aftertouch, left-hand performance control, 128 performance slots and 256 patch slots, 32 interchangeable alternative waveforms, and 16 sequences, the Super 8 strikes a great balance between sound quality, playability, and performance.

Between the Super 6 and the Super Gemini in size and performance, the Super 8 encourages exploration and better performance with high-quality touch controls designed with an intuitive user-driven design philosophy. It inherits the portable size of the Super 6 while adopting the same true stereo binaural signal path with dual FPGA and twin effect processors as the Gemini. The Super 8 will be a long-time companion and partner in your sonic adventures.

What is binaural?
Binaural means two paired synthesizer voices (stereo signal). In binaural mode, each channel has a completely independent synthesizer voice. The left and right oscillators, amplifiers, filters (and other parameters) can be detuned and dephased relative to each other. This unique feature allows you to freely manipulate the "spread" of the sound, from subtle to extreme effects, and allows you to express it in three-dimensional space. In other words, for every two "conventional" voices, you have one "super voice". BA6:BA18
