■EQ plug-in for mixing & mastering
In addition to zero latency and a unique natural phase mode, Pro-Q3 is an EQ plug-in for mixing and mastering that features the highest quality linear phase operation, smooth dynamic EQ, per-band mid/side processing, full surround support up to Dolby Atmos 7.1.2, intelligent solo function, Auto Gain, and a customizable spectrum analyzer.

■Sculpt the sound
Pro-Q3 supports you to quickly give shape to the sound you imagine. Multiple frequency bands can be selected and edited through the large EQ display. Unique features such as spectrum grab, full screen mode, and EQ match speed up your workflow.

■New features of Pro-Q4
・Spectral dynamics
Pro-Q 4 introduces a new variation of dynamic EQ: Spectral dynamics. In traditional dynamic EQ, the gain of the EQ band depends on the level of the input signal. In Spectral mode, Pro-Q 4 does not change the gain across the band, but triggers specific frequencies within that band when a threshold is exceeded, allowing you to process frequencies of interest more efficiently and accurately.

Spectral dynamics processing is an excellent processing method that changes the frequencies in question in a more subtle way compared to traditional dynamic EQ processing. Normally, this type of processing would require a dedicated and complex plug-in, but Pro-Q 4 makes it easy to understand and use it as a logical extension of normal dynamic processing.

・Instance List
Pro-Q 4 now allows you to control other Pro-Q 4 instances in your session from a single plug-in interface. This is a huge time saver and makes initial EQ setup very easy when starting a mix session.

・EQ Sketch
When making initial EQ settings with an equalizer, we often add a few bands, such as a low cut filter, bell filter, and high shelf, to create a rough starting point. It is now possible to draw that curve with a single gesture.

If you open Pro-Q 4 with the default preset and don't already have a curve and hover over the display, a curve hint will appear indicating the type of curve you can create at that location by clicking or double-clicking. Click, hold the mouse, and start drawing from left to right, and Pro-Q 4 will interpret your movements and add curves until you release the mouse again. If you already have a curve visible, click the EQ sketch button at the bottom left of the interface to enable EQ sketch mode and start sketching wherever you want.

・Character modes
On the right side of the bottom bar, there is a new character button. This button allows you to select between Clean, Subtle, and Warm character modes. The default Clean mode provides the original, transparent sound that Pro-Q is known for.

Subtle mode is a subtle vintage-type saturation. The amount of coloring is highly program dependent, varies by frequency, and is also affected by the EQ band.

Warm mode introduces a more pronounced, tube-like saturation and colored sound.
