Cranborne Audio/Carnaby HE2 is a 2U rack stereo parametric EQ and an evolution of the harmonic EQ Carnaby 500 released in API 500 series format. Enhance your mixes with a true analog harmonic saturation EQ with intuitive equalizing controls.

Like Carnaby 500, it employs a unique and innovative concept of harmonic EQ to generate harmonic saturation to boost and cut each frequency content. Enhance your mix with a real analog harmonic saturation EQ with familiar and intuitive equalizing controls.

■2-channel HarmonicEQR + Much More
Carnaby HE2 features three processing modes: stereo, dual mono, and M/S, with three bypassable harmonic EQ bands on each channel in all modes. Each band has 10dB boost/cut and its own frequency control. Like the Carnaby 500, each band blends its own harmonic content appropriate for that frequency band to maximize musicality.

HI Band
The high band, from 5kHz to 25kHz, uses smooth saturation to naturally extend high frequencies beyond the audio band, giving vocals and acoustic instruments the ultimate air and breath.

MID Band
A peaking filter with a fixed Q and a wide sweepable frequency range from 200Hz to 6.2kHz. Uses saturation to add harmonic enhancement anywhere in the frequency range.

LO Band
The frequency range is from 420Hz to 20Hz, and uses hard clipping saturation to extend subharmonic frequencies into the audible low end. This is perfect if you want subtle low-end warming or extreme subharmonic saturation.

■Fully Digitally-Controlled with USB and Network options
All buttons and controls can be remotely controlled via USB or Ethernet.
The dedicated software Carnaby HE2 Control seamlessly integrates with the Carnaby HE2 hardware, allowing real-time control and recall from within your DAW. It also makes it easy to save and load presets.

Mid/Side Processing
The Carnaby HE2 is useful for mastering, mixing, and sound design applications. With M/S processing, you can apply harmonic EQ to the mid (center) and side (stereo width) of a stereo source separately. No additional hardware is required for M/S processing, as the Carnaby HE2 performs the necessary encoding and decoding on its own.

Inserts for outboard hardware
The Carnaby HE2 has a bypassable TRS insert on each channel. The inserts are located after M/S encoding and before M/S decoding, allowing you to connect other hardware using the inserts before the signal reaches the harmonic EQ processing.
