Headway Music Audio / EDB-2 VAP

The EDB-2 VAP extends the line's appeal from pure acoustic string applications to archtop guitar, jazz, blues, electric guitar, and a wide range of orchestral and folk instrument applications.

EDB-2 VAP has all the necessary elements for an acoustic amplifier, including an acoustic preamp, vacuum tube, equalizer, DI, anti-feedback, blender, 48/10/5V phantom power, and UAB charger, as well as an FX loop.

Equipped with multiple features, the EDB-2 VAP provides enormous gain and headroom for a wide range of devices, and low noise for problem solving and improved sound quality.
It shapes and evens out uneven tones, warms up the sound, cancels piezo feedback, and blends two inputs for better sound.

Para Acoustic DIの上位互換

K&K Pure Miniを載せたギブソンのアコギで使用しています。

以前、L.R.Baggsのパラアコを所有していましたが、パラアコのちょっと足りなかった部分が補完された上に、よりナチュラルで使いやすい音質、という印象です。

音作りは簡単です。ノッチで共振ポイントを叩く→ハイパスで不要な低音を削る→EQで微調整。これだけです。ENHANCERとVALVE機能はお好みで。EQは効きが良く、音やせもノイズもありません。

パラアコの上位互換品をを待ち望んでいる方には、音色や操作感等、かなりしっくりくると思います。

以下はパラアコとの主な違い

・ノッチフィルター
パラアコ：98Hz-247Hz
EDB-2 VAP：50Hz-6kHz
パラアコはノッチを使用すると音色が大きく変わってしまいます。
EDB-2 VAPはノッチを使用しても音色がほとんど変わりません。

・入力インピーダンス
パラアコ：10MΩ
EDB-2 VAP：1.2MΩ、6.8MΩ、20MΩ
K&K Pure Miniはパッシブでローインピーダンス出力（1MΩ）のため、プリアンプの入力インピーダンスで音色が大きく変わります。
EDB-2を1.2MΩに設定した場合、どこかの帯域に偏ることのないバランスの良い出音になります。

・ハイパスフィルター
パラアコ：なし
EDB-2 VAP：40Hz-300Hz
パラアコにはハイパスはついていませんが、元々ローカットされているのか特に不便さはありません。
EDB-2 VAPはアコギの場合、アコギソロやボーカルとのデュオでは80Hz前後、バンドアンサンブル系では300Hzまでざっくりカットしても良いと思います。なお、300Hzに設定しても低音は軽くなりますが音やせ感はありません。
