The VT1 Ultra Trem system works best with two springs.

Basically, select according to the gauge below.
High tension: Recommended for 012 string gauge or higher
Medium tension: Recommended for 010 strings and 011 string gauges
Low tension: Recommended for 009 string gauge
Extra low tension: Recommended for 008 string gauge

However, if you are unable to obtain a satisfactory tension due to various factors such as the size of the guitar and adjustment operations, please try using a different spring or combining springs with different tensions as shown below to obtain the ideal tension.
High tension 1 piece + Medium tension 1 piece
Medium tension 1 piece + Low tension 1 piece
1 Low tension + 1 Extra low tension
