EKX - MELODIC PERCUSSION METAL includes melodic percussion staples vibraphone and glockenspiel. Frequently heard in classical arrangements as well as all genres of popular music, this staple of the metallophone family is an absolute favorite among creators.

Vibraphones have a bright tremolo and colorful, metallic tones that last, giving them a distinct personality. Similarly, the glockenspiel has an unparalleled harmonic voice that can cut through any musical situation with its magical tone and bright, bell-like tone.

To record these instruments, Toontrack's sound design team returned to Galaxy Studios, where they recorded the SUPERIOR DRUMMER 3 core library and SDX - ORCHESTRAL PERCUSSION. Crafted with unprecedented attention to detail and engineered to withstand virtually any noise interference from the outside world, this studio is the quintessential studio for sampling this type of sensitive instrument.

The setup to capture these two instruments uses 17 microphones, giving you the flexibility to use everything from authentic orchestral sounds to intimate, natural sounds. The vibraphone was recorded both in the main hall and in a small room in ""Studio 1"" and sampled with mallets and violin bows. A vibrant library that adapts to any genre, from orchestral to singer-songwriter, jazz, rock, electronic, and pop.
