ORNAMENT-8 is an organic sequencer. It features a completely modular construction with eight equal and independent cells, which are special delay lines.

It is an analog computer with a time dimension that can be connected to cells with alligator clip cables to build sequences and control CV-compatible devices such as LYRA-8, PULSAR-23, and Eurorack modules. The LYRA-8 SENSOR ADAPTOR is an adapter required to connect the ORNAMENT-8 to the LYRA-8 and can be easily attached to or detached from the LYRA-8 main unit with a magnet.

Sequence Programming by Patching
ORNAMENT-8 can be controlled via Eurorack compatible CV signals; ORNAMENT-8 outputs standard CV signals that can control any device capable of receiving CV, including LYRA-8, PULSAR-23, Eurorack systems, and non-audio devices such as lighting setups and electromechanical equipment. standard CV signals that can be controlled.

ORNAMENT-8 is programmed to sequence and behave by patching patch points, called “pins,” with the supplied alligator clip cable (alligator clip cable). For example, by patching the TRIG Out and TRIG In of adjacent cells 1-4 in sequence, and connecting the TRIG Out of cell 4 to the TRIG In of cell 1, a 4-step sequence loop is completed. When the time set by the TIME knob elapses, a trigger is output from the TRIG Out and the next cell is triggered. Pressing the RESET button disables the state of that cell.

The following four cells are used in this chain: X2 In, which doubles the TIME time; Phase switch, which inverts or disables the polarity of each cell; PASS Out, which outputs the incoming trigger when a cell is active; CV In, which controls TIME; CV Out, which outputs the CV when a cell is active; LYRA Out, which outputs the CV when a cell is active; PULSAE Out, which outputs the CV when a cell is inactive. The ORNAMENT-8's use of “pins” and alligator clip cable patching means that there are no limits to the number of cables that can be connected to a single pin, as many as physically allowed. Multiple cables can be connected to a single pin, as long as the physical conditions permit.


Connecting to External Devices
Four pulse converters and four 3.5mm jack-to-pin adapters are provided on the top of the panel for easy connection to external Eurorack modules and analog trigger-compatible devices.

Two 12V power jacks allow connection of another ORNAMENT-8, LYRA-8, or Pulser-23 by connecting the supplied power adapter to one and the supplied power cable to the other.
