■The feel and response of a real guitar amp
The only audio interface on the market with a FET input stage and Enhance feature, POLAR models the behavior, characteristics, and electronics typically found in the input stage of a tube guitar amplifier. Connecting a guitar directly to a regular audio interface will produce a poor signal with peaky transients, and playing through an amplifier plug-in will produce a poor signal with peaky transients.
It sounds exactly like a ""plug-in"" rather than an amp.
POLAR's Enhance feature enhances the sound of any software amp plug-in by restoring the touch, feel, and response of a real amp with the flip of a switch. Works perfectly on your pedalboard, no D.I. box or additional hardware required.

■Accurate level setting for guitarists
Blackstar's innovative input stage never digitally clips, allowing you to drive your interface like an amplifier. The input stage operates on +/- 12V and has excellent 24V headroom, which makes it stand out when compared to competing units such as 5V. Setting your guitar's input level and improving your tone has never been easier. Equal effort went into the design of the POLAR MIC preamplifier. This preamp is one of the most famous preamps in studio history.
It boasts a response comparable to that of the Neve 1081. In a blind A/B test, POLAR sounded exactly like the vintage Neve. Additionally, the MIC input's ``Enhance'' function acts as a gentle high-frequency lift, adding just the right amount of air and clarity to your vocals.
