OBERHEIM / TEO-5

Named after the initials of the company's founder, Mr. Oberheim, this machine is a condensed version of technologies such as OB-X, Four Voice, and TVS.

■ Enhanced oscillators
TEO's five voices feature triangle, sawtooth, and pulse waves, and instead of old sound sources, the updated oscillators roar with analog through-zero FM, creating textures never heard before in Oberheim synths.

■ Characteristic SEM filters
The legendary SEM state variable filter morphs like a phaser from two-pole low pass to high pass via notch.

It also features a switchable band pass mode.

Oberheim's signature tone shaping tools allow for highly diverse timbres.

■ Introducing the matrix
As well as featuring classic modulation sources like the OB-8 envelopes, the TEO-5 features poly and mono LFOs with tempo sync, and a full range of performance controls. The TEO-5's flexible modulation matrix design allows for almost any route, including audio-rate sources and destinations.

■Arpeggiator & Sequencer
The 64-step polyphonic sequencer opens up endless melodic possibilities, while the multi-mode arpeggiator keeps the rhythm pulsating.

■Two digital effects
One is dedicated to reverb, allowing you to quickly create the reverb sound that matches your image. The other is equipped with several types of delay, chorus, flanger, and other effects, as well as an accurate emulation of Maestro's ring modulator RM-1A and 6-stage phaser PS-1.

■Sound Editor
Unleash the full potential of your Oberheim TEO-5 with the TEO-5 SoundEditor. This standalone program and plug-in from Sound Tower is a full-featured editor/librarian that significantly enhances the TEO-5 sound editing experience. All parameters are displayed in a logical, easy-to-use graphical interface, making it easy to create, edit, organize, and save TEO-5 programs on your computer.
