The CV-12 BLA was jointly developed by Avantone and Black Lion Audio* and brings out the full potential of the amazing CV-12. The completely overhauled circuit employs a Solen Fastcap coupler and a ""CK"" style 34mm capsule. The new power supply has more filtering, lower signal-to-noise ratio, and more headroom.

As a result of BLA's improvements, the CV-12 eliminates the slight hump in the upper midrange and has more headroom. The highs are sweeter, the lows have more presence, better balance, more natural sound reproduction, and much more versatility.

The CV12 BLA continues to be a top contender as a world-class primary vocal microphone. The CV-BLA can be used for a wide variety of applications, including close miking of drum sets, acoustic pianos, mandolins, brass and wind instruments, and even guitar cabinets.
