■A new design that combines "strength" and "clarity" to respond to the performer's expression. The hard and light rare Adirondack spruce is used for the top plate. By increasing the thickness of the back plate and improving its performance as a reflector, the sound radiation from the top plate is strengthened. The neck and body are bolted together at the neck and body joint, and the design concentrates the vibration energy of the strings and body on the body. It combines the "quick response and strong volume" required for the dreadnought style and the "clarity" that is a characteristic of Yamaha acoustic guitars.

■Simple and luxurious design
The inner label that comes out from the sound hole is made of Japanese paper, the position marks have a design that makes you feel the fine kumiki wood, and the lines of the sound hole and body are decorated with rope inlays and rope binding reminiscent of traditional Japanese shimenawa.

■Two sound characters to choose from according to your preference
The "FG9R" uses Indian rosewood to produce deeper, heavier bass and more extended treble. The FG9M uses African mahogany, which brings out the traditional mid-low range of the FG and produces a light, crisp sound. Either model offers a wide range of expression, and the use of two types of wood for the sides and back allows for two different sound characters.
