The A and D strings of Pirastro Permanent cello strings are made of a single filament core of high tensile steel with chrome steel windings. The G and C strings are rope core/tungsten wound. The A and D strings have a bright and lively sound, while the G and C strings provide a warm and powerful sound with fast decay. The strings are very responsive, with excellent tuning stability and immediate playability. They are also suitable for electric cellos.
