Pirastro Permanent Soloist cello strings have a single filament core of high tensile steel for the A and D strings, and chrome steel windings for the G and C strings. The A and D strings have a bright, vibrant sound, while the G and C strings have a warm, powerful sound and are characterized by their fast decay. They are very responsive, with excellent tuning stability and immediate playability. They are also suitable for electric cellos.
