meloDICER is a sequencer that generates phrases by adding contingency to controllable parameters. It has the perfect balance of probability theory (unpredictable events) and determinism (predictable events) to create rhythms and melodies from this unique algorithm.

It magically produces musical phrases with just the right amount of control.
meloDICER's algorithm generates random values that magically transform the parameters you set into musical events. meloDICER provides thoughtful control elements that allow you to easily direct rhythm and melody in any direction. It doesn't matter if you are a music theory genius or don't know musical terms like triplets and ties. It's very easy to use, just play meloDICER by manipulating the module's parameters. Even with just the right amount of control, you can create musical phrases that magically change from one to the next.

Real-time mode and Dice mode
meloDICER offers two modes: a real-time mode that continuously generates rhythms and melodies, and a dice mode that repeatedly plays them back as patterns. The meloDICER can be set to play the rhythm in a loop while the melody changes randomly, or vice versa. Or, conversely, the melody can be set to loop while the rhythm changes randomly.

By shifting the start and end points of the pattern, you can generate even more varied and complex phrases.

Ever-changing melody
Do you like rolling dice? meloDICER has 16 memory spaces. However, instead of storing "generated patterns," this memory space stores all of the "random values and control settings" for generating phrases with specific rhythmic and melodic combinations. So anytime you change the stored pattern, it will generate a completely new phrase.

meloDICER and the Outside World
meloDICER features two CV inputs and two GATE inputs for modulating and triggering various parameters. You can modify certain elements of the pattern or add randomness or chaos to the signal of an external module. The stochastic engine ensures that no matter how you manipulate the parameters, it will always produce a worthwhile musical phrase.

Accurate like a Swiss clock
The built-in clock generator runs steady and tight. With access to all parameters at any time, meloDICER reacts instantly to any manipulation. There is no need to stop the sequencer, as there are no response delays or faltering. meloDICER can be used like a live instrument to create rhythms and melodies that harmonize perfectly with your performance.
