Regardless of the size of the modular system, the number of modules mounted, or the purpose, one of the basic and important functions is "level adjustment. In many cases, the full level of a signal is too high a voltage and must be attenuated (attenuated). Conversely, situations in which the signal needs to be amplified (amplified) occur more frequently than one might think.

AMPLINUATOR3 can perform both functions in a uniquely smart way. By simply using a single LEVEL knob per channel, the input signal can be attenuated to zero (turning the knob fully counterclockwise) or amplified up to twice as much (turning the knob fully clockwise). Turning the knob toward 12 o'clock will output the input signal as it is; to make it easier to adjust the level around 12 o'clock, a potentiometer with a center click is not used. Instead, a dead zone is set up to find the 12 o'clock spot quickly and reliably, and the dead zone around 12 o'clock does not change the level, making it easier to adjust to 12 o'clock even without a center click on the knob. Each channel has a normal polarity output and an inverted polarity output.

A summing section at the bottom of the panel allows the AMPLINUATOR3 to be used as a 3 In 1 Out mixer. The module can process both audio and CV signals.
