LA-based artist Joseph Holiday, also known as SNAKES OF RUSSIA and nicknamed “Deathbeats,” creates apocalyptic electronic visions. His unique sound is created by interweaving textured modular synth patches and hard drum samples and then feeding them all through a chain of unobtainium (a fictional material that makes the impossible possible) outboard gear and tape, creating a unique world of darkness.

Tenebrae was created based on the concept of a creature that had been buried underground for over a century being dug up and revived by bringing dark dust up from the depths of the earth. The combination of modular and analog synths, indistinctive strings, and hard percussion, processed through analog outboard gear and converted through tape, brings darkness to Tenebrae.
