T-Komp is a uniquely designed dual mono compressor that brings the ratio curve of the classic variable mu compressor to modern recording. The ratio is level dependent, so as the input level increases the compression ratio increases. This is a compressor design that offers many possibilities.

For more flexible use, T-Komp is equipped with two ratio ranges. A range of up to 20:1 is perfect for smashing instruments, especially drum tracks, and a narrower range of up to 2:1 is perfect for bass compressors.

Additionally, T-Komp has two modes to choose from: Feedforward mode, which provides a punchy, modern response, and Feedback mode, which provides a smoother, more musical response.

The detection speed of T-Komp's RMS detector can be set using five controls named Timing controls. The fourth is the slowest, and this is the same setting as the 160-VU compressor. From there, you can gradually increase the speed up to the first setting. The fifth setting is program-dependent adaptive mode. In this mode, the RMS detector works faster for fast signals and slower for slow signals to prevent unwanted low frequencies.
