RADIUS / RM-ATZ19 is an earphone-type microphone that enables high-quality binaural recording with high-performance microphones built into the left and right earphone housings.

■High resolution compatible
・RM-ATZ19 has acquired the Japan Audio Association's Hi-Res Mark as a microphone product. It can capture a wide range of sound from 30Hz to 40,000Hz, and supports high-resolution recording of binaural audio with higher reproducibility and a more realistic feel.


Binaural means ""of both ears"", and monaural means ""of one ear"".
In a broad sense, recorded 2-channel audio is called stereo audio, and 1-channel audio is called monaural audio, but when you play back stereo or monaural audio with earphones, the sound image is localized in your head (you feel like the audio is playing inside your head). On the other hand, binaural audio, which is a type of stereo audio, has the characteristic that the reproduced sound image is localized outside the head (it feels like the audio is playing outside the head), giving a more realistic feeling as if you were actually there.
This is because binaurally recorded audio includes not only the sound that reaches the ear directly, but also information about the acoustic effects of the shape and texture of the head. When a person actually hears sound, there are obstacles such as the nose and cheeks between the left and right ears, and the sound waves that reach the left and right ears from the sound source are not the same. Binaurally recorded audio can realistically reproduce these differences.
Since the experiences of the recorded people can be conveyed as is through audio, they can not only be used to look back on memories for oneself, but also used as materials for live streaming, video, music production, etc.

■Ideal for listening to binaural audio, equipped with FLW structure driver
-Equipped with a FLW (Floating Lead Wire) structure driver that allows you to listen to high-quality audio recorded on a monitor or IC recorder during recording. ""Aerial wiring"" connects the voice coil lead wire to the PCB without interfering with the diaphragm, reducing the uneven load on the diaphragm that can occur with dynamic drivers. It features clear sound with little noise across all bands.
Based on the driver for music listening earphones, it is tuned for monitors specialized for listening and analyzing binaural audio.
