Experience the human voice from a completely new perspective. ERIC WHITACRE CONTRAST is a hybrid chorus sound source that enhances the beauty of organic singing voices by adding electronic elements, centered around the voices of 19 singers of world-class ability.

Produced and conducted by Grammy Award-winning American composer and conductor Eric Whitacre, the sound changes exquisitely and dramatically at the touch of a finger, from the beating of a living human heart to the shimmering beauty of another world.

It contains 245 completely new dynamic techniques, and you can use your own sense to build an evolving emotional atmosphere. In addition, it also contains custom presets from three famous sound artists, and it has sophisticated functions and FX.

From film and TV scores to contemporary electronic music, this product is a sound source that opens the door to infinite possibilities in all genres and situations, and is like a living, breathing sound source.

A new world of choral expression
This product expresses the human voice as an instrument with unlimited innovation, a wide range of sounds, and emotional power, while further expanding the sound palette of the “Eric Whitacre Choir” also supervised by Eric Whitacre.

The 245 experimental techniques of the 19 members of the Eric Whitacre Singers (5 sopranos, 5 altos, 4 tenors, 5 basses) were recorded in various microphone positions at AIR STUDIOS, the prestigious recording studio that has produced countless hit songs.

Each technique, supervised by Eric Whitacre's awe-inspiring expertise and precision, is expressed in two contrasting timbres: “Light” and “Dark”. This seemingly minor difference creates a completely different timbre and tone. The techniques named “Fragments”, “Shards”, “Divergences”, “Murmuring” and “Prisms” are designed to dance delicately and sometimes dynamically under your fingertips, and to transform the sound in various ways.

“Scale Mode” and “Evo Grid” technology
In Fragments, which operates at various pitches, Scale Mode technology allows you to choose from seven diatonic modes or to create your own scale. From there, it intelligently selects samples that match the scale, divided by velocity, and triggers wider intervals at higher velocities.

All playing techniques can be combined in infinite ways using the “Evo Grid” function. You can also manually or pre-programmed evolving textures to be combined and layered. Click “Feeling Lucky” to randomize the combinations and breathe new life into your music.

Pushing the ultimate beyond breathtaking
The eDNA engine electronically transforms beautiful choruses into rich, thick synth textures.

It features 24 warps and 92 synth presets created from organic sources using innovative and sophisticated technology, as well as a huge number of functions and FX that realize infinite sound design possibilities. The eDNA engine also includes custom presets by Oscar-nominated composer Ryan Lott, Clark, and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith.

This engine can load two sounds and independently control the modulator, trim, bend, glide, cloning, tuning, ADSR, LPF, HPF, wobble, pitch, volume, and filter for each. The onboard gate sequencer allows independent gating between these two sounds, and you can control the amount, waveform, speed, and length of the sequence. These two signals are combined by the X fader.
