THE HEAVIEST CAB IN THE WORLD IR PACK” is a guitar amp pack featuring the work of producer/engineer Jakob Herrmann, who has worked with countless bands and artists such as Anthrax, In Flames, Europe, Dark Tranquillity, and many more. It contains ready-to-use sounds that are miked and mixed to fit recording sessions and precise mixes. Even low tunings and distorted sounds of multi-string guitars can be heard clearly.

The IR for THE HEAVIEST CAB IN THE WORLD IR PACK was recorded at Jakob Herrmann's own Top Floor Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden, using one of only four existing Mahler Engineering 2x12 speaker cabinets in the world. Mahler 2x12 cabinets are made of solid granite, unlike ordinary cabinets. Because of its high density and weight (300 pounds = approx. 136 kg), there is virtually no vibration even when played at high volumes. The heavy enclosure clearly shows the character of the speaker drivers and faithfully reproduces the sound of the different speakers. Some of the recordings include a blend of dual speakers. Some of them, including a dual speaker blend, were processed with a high-end recording chain, including outboard EQ from Jakob Herrmann's own SSL console.
