FLAME/MAANDER is a wavetable polyphonic synthesizer with analog filter banks and sequencer.

MAANDER is a wavetable polyphonic synthesizer with analog filter banks and sequencer. It is also a powerful live note repeat sequencer, sequencing oscillators and a 12-channel analog filter bank on 15 tracks to create unique sequenced phrases.

■4-voice wavetable oscillator
The main sound source is a wavetable oscillator compatible with FLAME's sophisticated oscillator module 4VOX. There are 39 user-definable wavetables available, producing a wide variety of unique wavetable sounds. In unison mode, four voices can be stacked on top of each other to create a chorus-like effect that adds depth to the sound.

In addition to the wavetable oscillator, external sound sources can be used, such as analog white noise, line input, or Hi-Z input.

An ADSR-type amp envelope and two LFOs can be used as modulation sources and filter envelopes in addition to the sequencer.

■12-channel analog filter bank
The MAANDER's most unique feature, not found on other synthesizers, is its 12-channel analog filter bank. The MAANDER has a 12-channel analog filter bank, which is the most unique feature of the MAANDER, and is not found on other synthesizers. MAANDER allows the user to process sounds by adjusting the filters for each of the 12 "frequency bands". This allows for the creation of unique sequenced phrases that are different from those created by conventional filters.

This powerful filter bank can be used not only with the built-in sound source, but also with external sound sources via the line input or Hi-Z input on the rear panel. The MAANDER can also be used as a powerful effects pedal for a wide variety of applications.

■Live Note Repeat Sequencer
The heart of MAANDER's unique sequencing phrases is the live note repeat sequencer. It is programmable up to 4 bars and can sequence a total of 15 tracks simultaneously.

The external audio input, internal white noise, and 12 filter channels each have a VCA controlled by an AR envelope and sound at each programmed step.

Each step can be programmed with an "oscillator chord or note" and 14 track settings, allowing you to program a completely different sound for each step.

The "SHOTS" section, which adds a note repeat effect to the sequence, gives the sequence the effect of repeating steps. The four knobs (velocity, gate time, resolution, and number of repeats) and two beat switches provide intuitive control, making it ideal for live performances.
