HAMMERS is a cinematic percussion album based on rock styles.

'HAMMERS' is a cinematic percussion library that was produced, recorded and mixed by Charlie Clouser, a film music composer who has worked on Nine Inch Nails, the 'Saw' film series and 'Resident Evil III'.

Recorded in a space made of concrete, glass and steel, this product has a distinctive sharp attack and controlled reverberation, making it a well-designed and easy-to-use sound. In addition, by capturing the performances of top-class percussionists not only as single hits but also as looped phrases, the heat of the performance has been packaged as it is.

HAMMERS contains eight types of percussion: bass drum, surdos, toms, rototoms, darbukas, frame drum, scrap metals, and snares. In addition, a wide range of mixable signals such as microphones, pre-mixes, and warps (processed with effects) are also provided, and by combining these with the 12 distinctive IR reverbs custom-made by Mr. Clauser, a vast range of options for sound are provided.

Controllable Loops

HAMMERS contains over 400 performance loops composed and performed by Charlie Clouser himself.

These are not just loops that can be played, but also have key mappings for stacking, rearranging, breaking up loops, and end hits. This allows the user to build patterns to some extent, rather than just using the loops as they are. It achieves a high level of freedom in phrases, as well as recreating the energetic nuances of loops and improving work efficiency.

Furthermore, you can choose from a selection of loops with BPMs of 70, 90, 110, 130, and 150, and different phrases have been recorded for each tempo. This minimizes the effect of time-stretching, and by arranging the loops according to tempo, you can get straight to work on creating your rhythm beds without hesitation.

As mentioned below, it is equipped with a time-stretching function that follows the tempo of the DAW. Among these, the distinctive primitive “Retro Pitch” option, which involves changing the pitch, can be selected, and it is also possible to use it in unconventional ways that deliberately change the pitch.
