A traditional festival not found in sheet music

'ALBION SOLSTICE' is a cinematic scoring library that highlights the visionary artistry of modern, ethnic and traditional instruments that are not widely taught in textbooks, and which have been passed down through generations without written scores.

In addition to string, brass and woodwind instruments, the collection also features unique instruments from the world of classical, folk, Celtic and Gallic traditions, including the nyckelharpa, Celtic fiddle, hurdy-gurdy, modern synthesizer and percussion performance, recorded at the legendary Castlesound Studios in Edinburgh, Scotland. These organic sounds, which form the heart of ALBION SOLSTICE, were selected and supervised by Spitfire Audio co-founder Christian Henson, who worked closely with a selection of musicians from the traditional music scene in Scotland and elsewhere in the UK.

The sounds are divided into three sections.
The Solstice Orchestra: The core of the library, a collection of 10 expertly curated ensembles and one solo instrument, with organic presets.
The Cassette Orchestra: An organic sound set of over 700 tape-warped and effected sounds, morphable using intuitive 'eDNA'.
The Drone Grid: A pool of fascinating and unique texture evolutions that provide endless inspiration.

By processing, blending and unleashing the organic sounds of modern and traditional instruments from all over the UK, we have created a special world of sound suitable for modern scoring -

a fountain of endless inspiration.
