A total of 17 snare drums, 31 cymbals, and five hi-hats in 5 complete kits, as well as 26 microphone channels and a series-record-breaking 63GB of raw drum sounds... SDX Progressive Foundry is the latest heavy metal-specific SDX expansion sound source that combines the tradition and deep resonance of SDX Metal Foundry, the most popular of the metal-based SDX series.
SDX Progressive Foundry was meticulously recorded at Sing Sing Recording Studios in Melbourne, Australia, by engineer/producer Forrester Savell, who has made a name for himself in the Australian modern progressive metal/heavy rock scene with his outstanding sound quality and powerful feel. Sing Sing Recording Studios has a recording booth (A-Room) that achieves perfect acoustic balance for drum recording, as well as a collection of valuable microphones and outboard equipment that the studio has collected over many years. Making full use of this luxurious environment, Steve Judd, drummer for ForresterSavell's band" Karnivool," sampled a huge amount of rare vintage and modern drums in the best possible condition. With this huge and exquisite drum collection, you can create all kinds of metal sounds!
