'BASS MIDI - DETROIT SOUL' is a collection of additional MIDI phrases for the 'EZ BASS' synthesizer, created with inspiration from the music that emerged from Detroit during the 'Motown' era of the 60s and 70s. The iconic bass lines played by musicians such as Carol Kaye and James Jamerson on countless Motown records not only exuded a distinctive magic, but also emphasized the importance of the bass as a melody as well as a rhythm. This unparalleled chapter in music history pioneered a new role for the bass, and continues to resonate to this day. This product was recorded together with the drum MIDI of the same name and the Ezkeys MIDI, and provides bass lines that are equally rich in musical inspiration. It contains basic but timeless soul, pop and R&B material. In other words, it provides driving hooks, funky rhythms, syncopated runs and soulful melodies. Main Features Inspired by the music that emerged from Detroit during the “Motown” era of the 60s and 70s. Covers 4/4 and 6/8 time signatures, as well as straight and swing feels. Tempo range of 55-160 BPM. Arranged into intro, verse, pre-chorus, chorus, and bridge sections.
