EBX - UPRIGHT is an EBX expansion library that precisely samples acoustic upright basses. It goes by various names, including double bass, stand-up bass, bass fiddle, and violone, but in this case, we're talking about upright basses. It is one of those instruments that doesn't need a name, and you can recognize it just by the sound it makes. The upright bass has permeated all strata of music history, from its first creation hundreds of years ago to the present day. This product contains a selection of carefully chosen acoustic upright basses, sampled to capture the complex and unique characteristics of this classic instrument. In addition to the sound, it also includes a wide range of presets and MIDI bass lines with custom content. With a length from scroll to endpin of 6 feet, but a tone that is the size of a 10-story building, this instrument embodies the ideal instrument for use in compositions that require the “playing” of a bass, such as jazz, rock, pop, and general acoustic music. First, please listen to the demo song. The appeal of the acoustic upright bass is fully captured in this recording. It was recorded using a piezo pickup and five different microphones. It includes a collection of presets that cover a wide range of tones for various genres, styles, and microphone blends. It comes with a custom MIDI library that matches the instrument and fretless/upright playing styles.
