Poly effects/Hector is a virtual modular system with a huge number of built-in modules. Poly effects/Hector is a virtual modular system with a huge number of built-in modules: effects, synthesis, control sources, and all the other modules that are familiar to modular synths.
Hector is a virtual modular system with a huge number of built-in modules. Hector includes all the modules you would expect from a modular synth, including effects, synthesis, and control sources. You can freely combine virtual modules and create your own patches inside Hector, just as you would with a modular synth.
It has 6 CV/audio inputs, 8 CV/audio outputs, and MIDI IN/OUT. Signals from external modules can be input to Hector, processed in various ways, and output as CV/audio and MIDI data. Patching and parameter adjustment of the built-in modules is intuitive using the large touch display, allowing you to program patches as you wish.
The possibilities are endless with Hector's 30HP size.
■Virtual Modular System in a Eurorack System
Hector has a huge number and variety of virtual modulators built in. Convolution reverbs that take full advantage of the powerful CPU, EDP-style loopers with multiple loops, chorus, flangers, phasers, pitch shifters, rotary speakers... almost any effects processor you can imagine. Most of the effects pedals you can imagine are included.
The world's favorite synthesizers are also included, including 16 models of macro oscillator voices using famous open source programs, unique effects, resonators, granular texture generators, wave folders, Euclidean sequencers, and many more. Synthesizer-based modules have also been ported.
Vintage synth-emulated filters, envelopes, LFOs, VCAs, logic, attenuators, 16-step drum sequencers, through-limiters, quantizers, and most of the standard modular synth modules are also included.
These can be freely combined within a module to create your own patches as CPU power permits. You can build a virtual modular system within a Eurorack modular system, and the possibilities are endless in Hector's 30 HP of space.
■ Large touch display for intuitive operation and numerous inputs and outputs
Operation using the large touch display is so intuitive that it requires no explanation for users familiar with Eurorack modular synthesizers. The hardware has six inputs, eight outputs, and MIDI IN/OUT, with the hardware inputs on the right side of the display's main screen and the outputs on the left. For example, if you just want to use Hector as an effector, simply call up an effect module and connect any IN and OUT to the module.
MIDI IN/OUT can be converted to control signals using the built-in MIDI module for use within Hector, and MIDI Note, CC, and Clock support allows you to connect an external MIDI keyboard or sequencer to Hector to play synthesizer patches built with Hector. You can also connect an external MIDI keyboard or sequencer to Hector to play synthesizer patches built with Hector, or output control signals created with Hector patches as MIDI output.
Tap each module to access its detail screen and adjust the parameters displayed graphically.
■Effects Pedal Version Beebo
The Beebo lineup includes a sibling with the same power as the Hector, the effects pedal version Beebo. Presets created with Hector and Beebo are compatible and can be easily imported and exported using a USB memory stick.
