Carnaby 500 is a unique and innovative 3-band parametric EQ.
Analog EQ uses harmonic saturation to boost and cut frequency content, enhancing your sound with the equalizer's familiar controls and true analog harmonic saturation for any source.

■3-Band Parametric EQ With More
Carnaby 500 features three interactive bands, each with ±10dB boost/cut and overlap frequency controls. Each band has a unique blend of overtones appropriate to that frequency band for maximum musicality.

・HI Band
Naturally extending high frequencies with smooth saturation from 5kHz to 25kHz, giving vocals and acoustic instruments the ultimate air and breath.

・MID Band
The MID band is a peaking filter with a fixed Q and a wide frequency range from 200Hz to 6.2kHz. Saturation adds harmonic enhancement to a source anywhere within its frequency range.

・LO Band
It uses hard clipping saturation in the 420Hz to 20Hz range and extends the low end with subharmonic frequencies.

■Dynamic Response
Unlike typical EQs, Carnaby 500 has a dynamic response. When driven harder, the sum of boost/cut and harmonics increases.
Input and output level controls for each band allow ±20dB level adjustment, and you can use the input controls to drive the Carnaby 500 harder for more saturation and distortion effects, or back off as needed for a cleaner EQ.

■Stereo-Link via OPTOSYNC
It features an innovative stereo link feature called OPTOSYNC, which allows two Carnaby 500 units to function as a stereo pair.
OPTOSYNC synchronizes all controls from the left unit to the right unit without cables or internal fixtures. If you turn on OPTOSYNC on all slave units, they will synchronize wirelessly with the master unit using LED and optical communication.
You can also link multiple units using OPTOSYNC to apply the same equalization to the entire summing mixer or multichannel surround mix.
