AMEK EQ 200 - Unparalleled mastering-grade EQ
The extraordinary resolution, extreme transparency, massive headroom and surgical precision of the mastering-grade EQs of the 70s and 80s have inspired many equalizer designs since. And for many top engineers, these original parametric EQs are still considered to be unrivalled tools today.
The AMEK EQ 200 Plugin was developed with the sound of the GML 8200 EQ and the vintage SONTEC EQ, both of which are owned by Brainworx founder Dirk Ulrich, in mind.
The AMEK EQ 200 plugin is a full 7-band EQ with 5 parametric bands plus high and low pass filters. It works in stereo, dual mono, mono and M/S modes. The 5 bands can be boosted or cut by up to 15dB and have a bandwidth (or Q) control from 0.4 to 4.

Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor Class A The most prestigious high-end compressor
In 2012, Vintage King released a hardware version of the Class A, limiting production to just 50 units. Brainworx used their patented TMT modelling technology to create an accurate emulation of this legendary hardware, and then improved on the original by adding extra features and a punchier VCA.
Simultaneously achieving smoother compression and a punchier, faster sound
After rigorous comparison testing with the Shadow Hills Industries Mastering Compressor, professional audio engineers have repeatedly confirmed that the Class A version has a smoother compression sound, a punchier VCA, more pronounced sound spread, and a greater sense of size and depth.
When the gain is set to the same value for both versions of the Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor, the Class A hardware version is about 1-3dB higher, giving the sound passing through it more thickness and a richer tone. Simply put, this Class A version is punchier, faster, and more versatile. Try the standard version for the drum bus and this Class A version for the master.
