Tasteful Saturation Adds Desirable Analog Characteristics to the Mix

Looptrotter's world-renowned solid-state saturation circuitry adds low-order overtones and smooths and evens out the sound in a musical, ear-friendly way.

∙ Custom-made saturation for clear lows and smooth highs
SA2RATE 2 employs two unique circuits to avoid the most common problems associated with oversaturation.
The “LO Safe” prevents distortion in the lowest frequencies, allowing sources such as kick, bass, drum groups, and mixed bass to maintain their low-frequency power and clarity.
HI Smooth” boosts high frequencies before the saturation circuit and attenuates them later, providing deeper saturation and transient control of high frequencies without adding harshness.

SA2RATE 2's Drive control adjusts input level and depth of saturation all at once, with two LEDs that light up at 4% and 8% THD to indicate the amount of harmonics being added.
Independent DRY and WET signal controls provide the perfect blend of processed and dry signals, allowing the plug-in to sound very subtle and with only slight coloration, or bold and aggressive with 100% saturation.

Brainworx engineers have added a new digital-only feature to this emulation: the LO Safe & HI Smooth filters have been further upgraded, allowing you to tune their center frequencies to your liking.
We have also added a “Magic” feature to Looptrotter's summing mixer SATUR, which warms up and opens up the entire mix, giving it a wider, more vibrant analog feel. In addition, the M/S function, which allows separate midrange and side saturation settings, Mono Maker, Stereo Width, the new Density function, and the groundbreaking TMT function, provide an unparalleled analog experience with this box.
