The SPL Attacker Plus Microplug provides some of the magical envelope shaping provided by the original Transient Designer hardware, recreating the edge and punch provided by the Attack knob. Envelope Technology), the same technology that revolutionized dynamic processing with its level-independent approach.

Attacker Plus also features a soft peak limiter and dry/wet control, giving it the flexibility to handle a wide variety of content and a secure workflow in the digital world. In addition, Brainworx has built upon more than a decade of hardware modeling experience to include core algorithms in the Attacker Plus that closely resemble the behavior of the original Transient Designer unit.

Operation of the Attacker Plus is remarkably simple. All attack events can be amplified regardless of signal level. But don't let the simplicity of this plug-in fool you; the possibilities for studio and live applications are endless.

Traditionally, EQ has been used to isolate instruments in a mix, and SPL Attacker Plus amplifies only the attack curve of a sound event by focusing on the initial transient rather than a specific frequency. This allows instruments to be mixed at lower levels, allowing more space in the mix while maintaining relationships between tracks.

You can emphasize the attack of a kick drum or loop to increase its power and presence in the mix, and you can adjust the apparent “distance” of the microphone by simply changing the ATTACK value. The attack of the guitar sound is strengthened for a more powerful sound. The built-in limiter and dry/wet controls allow you to push the Attacker Plus to the edge and then turn the level down as needed.

What is analog chord?
“You have cracked the analog code!” These were the words of one of our hardware developers when we auditioned SPL's plug-in technology. The phrase immediately became the image of SPL, and the company decided it was the perfect name for its digital product line. Thus was born the SPL analog code brand.
