Quickly and easily reduce reverb and room tones
The SPL De-Verb Plus Microplug provides some of the magical envelope shaping provided by the original Transient Designer hardware, replicating the attenuation provided by the Sustain knob, which shortens the decay of the sound.
It uses the same technology that revolutionized dynamic processing with a level-independent method called DET (Differential Envelope Technology).
De-Verb Plus also features a soft-peak limiter and dry/wet control, providing flexibility for a wide range of content and a worry-free workflow in the digital world. And with over a decade of hardware modeling experience, Brainworx has included core algorithms in De-Verb Plus that are closer than ever to the behavior of the original Transient Designer unit.
Operation of De-Verb Plus is remarkably simple.
It can reduce all reverb events, regardless of signal level. This opens up endless possibilities for studio and live applications. The De-Verb Plus also features an output gain control to compensate for level changes after signal processing. This, combined with the onboard peak limiter and dry/wet controls, makes it possible to easily and safely adjust levels and shape the decay characteristics of the sound while avoiding internal clipping.
Musically shorten the sustain of the snare. Reduce the ringing of tom-toms without physically attenuating them; adjust the apparent “distance” of the microphone by simply changing the Reverb Reduction value.
A perfect alternative to noise gates, the De-Verb Plus Microplug reduces the decay period more musically compared to a fixed release time, and within seconds the drum set is significantly freed from unwanted room information.
“You have cracked the analog code!” This was the response from a hardware developer who auditioned SPL's plug-in technology.
The phrase quickly became the image of SPL, and the company decided it was the perfect name for its digital product line. Thus was born the SPL analog code brand.
SPL's hardware products can be found in some of the world's most prestigious facilities and have become a staple for audio professionals, from home studio owners to top-class mastering engineers.
As computer-based audio systems have grown, so has the need for SPL sound in the form of plug-ins. Analog Chord Plug-Ins allow you to bring SPL sounds into your DAW.
