Dual oscillators with 26 modes
Unfiltered Audio's LION synthesizer features a dual-oscillator architecture, with each oscillator having as many as 26 modes.
Choose from FM synthesis, subtractive/additive waveforms, “super” oscillator stacks, microsounds, noise, or variations of each.
Both oscillator engines also feature an optional stereo mode. By adjusting the depth of unison of the oscillator controls and utilizing the optional tuning drift, a rich and full sound can be obtained.

Experimental oscillator mixing and 16 different filter shapes
The LION mixer offers different oscillator combination modes.
The default Linear XFade algorithm functions as a standard crossfader, but more experimental modes such as Min-Max, Ring Mod, Compare, Terrain, Bitter, and Ash create a non-standard relationship between two oscillators Low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass. Sixteen filter shapes, including low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass, allow you to further refine your sound.

More than 40 built-in effects
The legendary BYOME effects from Unfiltered Audio - a flexible library of more than 40 effects that can be modulated. You can build presets with detailed effect chains that respond to your playing. Also included is a factory library of 600 synthesizer presets from a variety of genres to get you started right away.

Randomization Engine
LION features an improved version of the randomization engine introduced in BYOME. The scalable randomization depth allows you to add slight variations to your synth patches or create completely new presets that are almost identical to the original source.

Unparalleled modulation system with support for ...MPE
The MIDI In modulator is part of LION's unparalleled modulation system, transforming your playing into deep expression. You can control the filter cutoff knob with the value of the last MIDI note played, or change the timbre of the oscillator with the velocity control. fully MPE compatible, with controllers like the ROLI Seaboard or Sensel Morph, The full MPE support allows you to use controllers such as the ROLI Seaboard or Sensel Morph to achieve amazing articulations per voice.
