Such was the vision behind the MC77 developed by Purple Audio in the late 90s.
It all starts with an exact replica of the "E" revision of one of the most iconic solid-state limiting amplifiers of all time. From there, impeccable high-performance components were used to create a unit that matches the original. To its all-discrete signal path, we add even more modern features.

Classic Dynamics for the 21st Century
The MC77 uses Field Effect Transistor (FET) technology for gain reduction, allowing for a large amount of limiting without serious distortion.
With its extremely fast attack time, flexible release, four ratios, and multi-button mode, the MC77 can deliver any sound.


The Brainworx team didn't stop at just perfecting this pristine emulation from scratch; they added TMT technology to provide the MC77's various analog units in a single plug-in.
The headroom knob provides perfect gain staging without changing levels, the integrated sidechain filter adjusts the compressor response, and the mix control provides instant parallel processing.
