Boutique Analog Synthesizer with 26 Tubes

Knifonium is a very beautiful sounding analog synthesizer driven by a whopping 26 tubes. This high-end synth features two tube-driven oscillators, a 4th-order ladder filter, a ring modulator, and most importantly, a gorgeous “steampunk” aesthetic.

The original hardware units are handcrafted in small batches by high-end audio equipment designer Jonte Knif with unparalleled flair. As beautiful as these synthesizers are, the Knifonium is more than a stunning showpiece capable of producing “strange sounds. The Kunifonium is an extremely musical and exciting instrument with many possibilities for sound formation and modulation. Only 20 or so of these instruments have ever been made.

The plug-in version of the Knifonium is not only more accessible and easier to use than the original, it also offers features not possible in the analog world.
Knifonium's plug-in emulation adds eight independent voices to the synthesizer, opening up a new world of possibilities. Imagine the atmospheric pad sounds produced by a total of 208 tubes!
In addition, a carefully selected BX effects section is added, including mid-side and stereo diffusion functions, a unison mode for even richer sounds than the original, a vintage-style phaser, SPL EQ Ranger, Wave Shaper, and a wide range of other effects that you'll want to use in real life! The effects are so wide-ranging that you'll actually want to use them.

Lead designer Jonte Knife has been creating tube-based hardware for mixing, mastering, and sound design for years, and his tube and solid-state designs have been equally well received.
His Knifonium was carefully crafted to be the best in its class, and Brainworx engineers modeled the complete circuitry of the original hardware, including 26 vacuum tubes, and applied patented tolerance modeling techniques to create the envelope parameters, natural variations in pitch, LFO speed, etc., to make this reproduction sound as realistic as possible in analog terms.
