Gorgeous Tones of a Modified British Classic


The Friedman BE-100 amplifier is the result of Dave Friedman's years of experience modifying his client's Marshall Plexi.
This native plug-in faithfully reproduces the rich tone that Friedman has achieved by tweaking the DNA of the classic Plexi, providing silky highs, extremely tight lows, and high gain capability. Cult, the Foo Fighters, and many more, the BE-100 has shared the stage with a wide variety of musical styles, including classic, hard rock, metal, punk, country, and blues.
The new native version features over 100 high-end recording chains, an expandable user interface, and recording chain on/off parameters.

Why the BE-100?

The BE-100 is a true rock star, powered by a 2-channel, 100-watt, EL34 vacuum tube The Friedman architecture delivers a massive, tight low end and extremely sensitive chords at any volume The BE-100's punchy, dynamic tone cuts through the mix and is a joy to play single notes through the amp. The clean channel can be adjusted for bass and treble, and then a 3-way bright switch can be used to get the desired sound.

You can also get a more traditional vintage “Plexi” tone with the volume knob on the front panel of the amp.” With the “Simple Clean” and “C45” modules, players can get a sound so pure that little EQ is needed, from lush guitar aggression to sparkling, singing highs. This unparalleled tone and onboard FX rack make the BE100 one of the most versatile guitar amps available.

Friedman's innovative designs and meticulous construction have become legendary in the world of professional touring musicians and have earned him loyal customers worldwide. Friedman's main activities are modifying amps to suit each player's tonal palette and consulting with other amp manufacturers to improve their own designs.

More about the FX

As with many other amps, this new native version provides access to features Brainworx has developed specifically for the plug-in, such as host-syncable lo-fi delay, Noise Gate, Tight/Smooth Filter, Power Soak control, and FX Rack, including Power Amp Bypass. The new version of the plug-in format is available for all Brainworx plug-ins.
