Phil's Cascade plug-in reproduces a one-of-a-kind hardware unit that combines highly esoteric vintage components with truly unique circuitry. This is not your typical audio processor; think of Phil's Cascade as a toolbox that will lead you into an interesting sonic world.

Phil's Cascade models a unique hardware unit that cannot be mass-produced.
Phil's Cascade, like all elysia plug-ins, is modeled after real analog hardware. However, this one-of-a-kind hardware was designed and manufactured specifically to be made into a plug-in.
This approach removes the practical limitations of designing the ideal analog device for saturation. NOS (New Old Stock) components, a staple in the audio world, were specially ordered to create innovative circuits that explore the possibilities of analog.

Various analog colors in one box
You can easily spice up both virtual and natural instruments, transforming standard sounds into a variety of flavors. There is no right or wrong setting.
Saturation, harmonics, distortion, coloring, filtering, interaction, you name it. This plug-in is designed to encourage experimentation and make it truly worthwhile.

It can be surprisingly difficult to use at times and surprisingly easy at others.
The central element is the center gain.
The left side of the plug-in is where all the magic happens, with controls for Boost, Bias, Grid, Resonance, and Peak to shape the sound.
On the right side are the Filtering, Level, and Parallel Mix knobs to control and adjust what you need.

Rest assured that the original hardware on which this plug-in is based will never be produced again. Most parts are so rare that only a few can be manufactured, and for environmental reasons cannot be used in new products.
