Parametric Analog Mastering EQ with High Headroom and Precision


The PQ Mastering Equalizer is a fully parametric, dual-channel, 5-band equalizer based on SPL's pioneering 120V rail technology.
It can switch between “Constant Q” and “Proportional Q” modes at the push of a button, a circuit not yet available in other analog equalizers. Such a circuit has not yet been realized in other analog equalizers.

Design for High Precision Performance
Each of the PQ's five bands can be independently switched between active, inactive, Proportional Q, and Proportional Q modes, allowing for more targeted cuts and boosts. The “1/4 Gain Switch” allows the EQ range to be cut or boosted from +/-20dB to +/-5dB, making it easy to perform the fine corrections often required in mastering.


Plug-in-specific functions take it a step further.
Brainworx's familiar “Extra Unit” adds features to this legendary EQ not found in the original analog unit. This retractable module provides everything you need in the modern digital realm, including tolerance modeling technology, M/S processing, Mono-Maker, Stereo Width, THD, Auto Listen for all five bands, and more.
