The true sound of the coveted Neve modules is here!
Lindell Audio's 80 Series is an emulation of the original Neve 1073 and 1084 preamp/EQ, 2254 limiter/compressor, and 1272 line amp modules strictly for DAW use.
These modules are the result of the hand-wiring of the 8028, the truly magical Neve desk that has produced countless masterpieces over the past 30 years. Think Queen, David Bowie, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Slipknot to name a few.
With the Lindell 80 Series, you can be sure that this legendary sound has the full-bodied, aggressive power to bring your records as close to analog as possible.
...a classic console that no longer has a cult following.
Originally introduced in 1969, the 80 Series analog mixing consoles have gained a cult following due to their uniqueness and rarity. Known for their breathtaking depth, pristine high end, and rich definition, the individual modules that make up these desks have stood the test of time and inspired countless high-end clones.
It is no wonder that the likes of Sound City Studios, Oscilloscope Labs, Electric Lady Studios, and Sphere Studios have placed their trust in the sound and features offered by these consoles. The Lindell 80 Series Channel delivers the sound of this console in the digital domain.
Neve Processor Family
By itself, the Neve 1073 is one of the most popular preamp/EQs available, capable of stunningly beautiful high-end boosts and shockingly full low-end amplification.
Plus, it faithfully reproduces the more flexible and accurate 1084 EQ, making this much-followed plug-in already well worth its price.
The 80 Series is further enhanced with the addition of a 2245 limiter/compressor for smooth, creamy dynamic control, a 1272 line amp for rich overtones, and a special Buss mode for full Neve-ness. The new version is even more comprehensive.
Updated Icons
To complete the new console, Lindell Audio licensed the patented Tolerance modeling technology from Brainworx to provide an authentic analog experience in the digital realm.
You can mix songs using 32 different channels to replicate the tolerances of the various components found in the original hardware. Plug-in-only features include a Limiter/Compressor Mix knob, variable THD and V-gain, and more.
Disclaimer: The Lindell 80 Series was developed by Lindell Audio using proprietary modeling techniques, and one of the products studied was the Neve 1073, 1084/2254 and Neve 1272 (Buss). AMS/Neve has not licensed any intellectual property for use with the Lindell 80 Series and does not endorse or support the Lindell 80 Series in any way.
