bx_oberhausen draws from Brainworx Audio's extensive experience with analog audio equipment to creatively craft world-class mixing and mastering plug-ins.

Its sound effectively replicates the analog synthesizer expander modules loved and highly regarded by many musicians. Its sound relies on fully analog discrete circuitry and a classic state variable 2-pole filter. It also features unprecedented features such as a powerful unison mode, M/S technology, and Brainworx Audio TMT (Tolerance Modeling Technology) technology.

Full Analog Modeling
The ultimate upgrade to analog synthesizer sounds, original or otherwise, Brainworx Audio has augmented bx_oberhausen with up to 32 voices of full polyphony. This is twice the number of voices of today's expensive polysynths, allowing users to create sounds not possible with the original hardware, while keeping the analog domain intact.

Unison.
Each voice can be combined to create powerful unisons. Combined with the unique TMT function, this creates a rich and complex analog sound unrivaled by any other virtual instrument.

M/S Technology
Introducing a feature unprecedented in the world of synthesizers, you can choose which parts of the sound pass through the filter section and which do not. It allows for everything from subtle effects as a foundation for bass to crazy stereo processing.

Effects Section
These are more than just effects; we've taken some of Brainworx's best products and proudly put them in an effects rack under the Brainworx brand. We also asked our partners at Maag to add their renowned AIR BAND feature. The signal chain of the effects section can be easily modified with drag-and-drop functionality.

Extensive Modulation Matrix
The modulation matrix opens up endless possibilities for sound design.

FM
By adding frequency modulation to a classic analog synthesizer, you can push the boundaries of creativity far beyond the original synthesizer.

Arpeggiator
The arpeggiator has all the features including swing parameters.

NKS-compatible in-app plug-in preset management
The preset management system allows presets to be categorized and easily retrieved. 300+ presets created by renowned professionals are included in Bx_oberhausen. The preset management system is fully NKS compliant and well integrated into NKS-compliant products.
