The best and most powerful bx_console plug-in for analog consoles
Rupert Neve-designed Amek 9098i Master Console adds incredible functionality to the analog sound of the Amek 9098i
The Rupert Neve-designed Amek 9098i Master Console, released in the early 2000s under the slogan "Artistry in Analogue," was one of the greatest achievements in analog console design.
With the release of the bx_console Amek 9099, which adds new features, it has become one of Brainworx's most coveted, full-featured console plug-ins.
Musical EQ with Dynamic Control
The Amek 9099 features an EQ similar to that designed by Rupert Neve, with wide, musical curves, never sounding "bad" but tight enough for your needs. The dynamics section has variable expanders, gates, compressors, and limiters, with very flexible side-chaining capabilities.
Unique features not found on other consoles
The original Amek 9098i is dotted with features rarely found on analog consoles of the era: the EQ shelf has "Sheen" and "Glow" modes for smoother boosts and cuts, and "Notch" mode for more precise cuts in the parametric bands. The parametric band is equipped with a "Notch" mode for more precise cuts.
A unique "Ambience" switch in the dynamics section makes it easy to see what the compressor is doing.
The onboard EQ also acts as a full parametric dynamics sidechain filter, giving you more precise control over the compressor and limiter.
More features than any other bx_console plug-in
Brainworx engineers improved it by adding parameters not found in the original hardware. A special "clip" function on the limiter for ultra-fast and smooth soft clipping, a new full-featured expander/gate with its own side-chain filter reminiscent of the classic Drawmer gate. And for the first time in a bx_console plug-in, there is a Mono Maker, Stereo Width, and Auto Listen control onboard.
Tolerance Modeling Technology (TMT)
Like all bx_console plug-ins, the Amek 9099 uses Brainworx's patented TMT design to more accurately emulate the performance and behavior of a real analog console.
Modeled after Dirk Ulrich's own beloved Amek strips, each channel is emulated at the component level, with subtle differences between channels providing the three-dimensionality, width, and depth of a real analog console.
