ACME Audio Opticom XLA-3 is a powerful and flexible optical compressor that achieves a diverse range of harmonics. Developed in close collaboration with Brainworx, this plugin integrates a brilliant tube sound into military-grade steel cover components.

When applied to drum buses, it enables seamless leveling akin to the LA-2A style's solidity. Vocals passing through it, even in weak takes, gain added "hardness."

Its unique "Amp Mode" allows adding harmonic color to signals without altering dynamics.

XLA-3 features three compression types, each producing distinctly different sounds. Brainworx faithfully emulated the XLA-3's hardware behavior, incorporating these functionalities into the plugin form. New features include a parallel mix knob, output trim control, and adjustable noise floor.

Drive input sound, set operation, adjust levels to taste—that's all it takes.
