The one and only transient tool gets even better!


Originally, compressors were threshold-dependent devices.
That is, the signal level is reduced only when it exceeds the compressor's threshold level.

Unfortunately, if you want to remove all the peaks from a jazz drummer's dynamic snare recording, the compressor will apply more gain reduction to the loud transients than to the quiet transients.
However, thanks to SPL's Differential Envelope Technology (DET), the volume envelope of the transient can be formed consistently, regardless of the peak level.

Instead of making various settings such as compressor threshold and hold time, concentrate on the Attack and Sustain knobs on the SPL Transient Designer Plus.

The Attack knob amplifies or attenuates the initial part of the transient, while the Sustain knob amplifies or attenuates the tail end of the transient.


The Sidechain Filter also removes a portion of the signal from being processed, allowing you to target specific components of the drum bus (for example, the kick drum).
SPL Transient Designer Plus is latency-free and includes a built-in Soft Clip Limiter to reduce digital clipping.
