This plug-in was developed by Paul Frindle, developer of some of the most respected and beloved products in recording history, including the SSL E / G Series consoles and the SONY OXFORD OXF-3 digital board.
The Dynamic Spectrum Mapper (DSM) plug-in is intended to provide multidimensional control over both the spectral response and dynamic characteristics of audio.

It can take the sound of one track and dynamically impress it on another track.
DSM V3's Dynamic Spectrum Mapping provides more reliable results than traditional EQ matching methods. With more than three times the frequency range of a conventional multiband compressor, and particularly high resolution in the mid and high frequencies that shape character and vocal timbre, it quickly delivers exemplary results for common tasks such as vocal expression and instrument characterization.

The ability to capture, modify, and reapply the spectral characteristics of tracks at all stages of the production cycle, including recording, mixing, and mastering, is a powerful creative tool.

DSM V3 has many use cases, from matching tracks in mastering to difficult audio track processing during mixing. In addition, it can act as a de-esser.
