Powerful/Flexible Dynamics Processor
nvelope is a powerful dynamics processor that allows you to make subtle or dramatic changes to your sound by controlling attack and sustain.
By controlling attack and sustain, the sound can be altered in subtle ways. This is very useful for altering individual tones and is also a great tool in mixing situations. It can be used as a powerful transient shaping tool in full range mode, a frequency-based dynamics tool in dual band mode, and a primitive high/low shelf equalizer in EQ mode.
Brainworx incorporates all the power and flexibility of the original hardware into the plug-in version through advanced circuit modeling techniques.
The elysia nvelope takes dynamic transient shaping to the next level with innovative features such as the ability to apply transient control by frequency when using dual band mode.
In simple full-range mode, a sidechain filter has been added to the Attack parameter to adjust for low-frequency effects when shaping impulses.
Shelf EQ mode allows for extensive high and low band coloration.
Adding a second instance of nvelope in Shelf EQ mode can be used to sweeten sounds already processed in either impulse shaping mode.
Unlike a compressor, the nvelope works independently of the signal level, so you don't have to spend a lot of time balancing complex controls to get the results you want quickly.
The envelope can change the character of a sound by altering its impulse structure, and you can directly control the envelope of the signal by shaping the attack and sustain strength.
For example, you can accentuate the attack of a drum to make it sound more aggressive and punchy, or easily calm down a tone that is too aggressive.
You can also control the room's resonance and space by adjusting the sustain of the sound. You can reduce the sustain of instruments and reverb tails to make them sound tighter, or increase the sustain to add depth and make the signal sound longer.
