This limited edition snare drum is made of Japanese cedar veneer wood, which is rare for a drum shell. Cedar wood is used in a wide range of applications, such as construction materials, furniture, and crafts, and its light and soft nature gives it a sweet and fat tone in terms of sound characteristics.

■Japanese cedar veneer vortex shell
Japanese cedar wood is formed into an 8mm-thick veneer shell, and a sound focus ring made of the same wood is attached to the upper and lower edges of the inner surface of the shell to increase the rigidity of the shell without compromising the excellent vibration characteristics of the veneer shell, and to achieve a quick sound rise.
The outer surface of the shell is "UZUKURI" (a traditional Japanese woodworking technique) and "YAKI" (burning) by skilled craftsmen to create a beautiful, three-dimensional appearance with raised grain patterns.
